… has been possessed by the arch-evil, the very same arch-evil Manolo tries to warn the world about since forever.

But, as one should never forget, the devil best weapon is seduction.

Generalfeldmarschall Karl knows his trade, even if I often come to doubt it. Witness his extraordinary work on sleeves in the SS11 ready to wear Fendi collection.

As you may know, one of the reasons for Balenciaga’s early success in the dark times around WWII was his mastery of sleeve design. Well cut sleeves are of utmost importance, they’re one of the clearest mark of design excellence. Now look at that:

Fashion Statement

This one alone would make a season. The burned effect is killing me. But there’s plenty more:

So cool it became an ad

More perfection

Motion Control

Sleeve porn, actually

I would not shy away from some extremities to get hold of the blue Vichy short jumpsuit. Which is really good. But the whole collection is a scandal, it’s just too good.

Some of these images are edited from pictures I found here, and the rest comes from there.

Viktor & Rolf, on the other hand, went a little overboard:

Sleeve Enthusiasm (and beyond)

You are, dear lady, as always, exactly correct. That burned sleeve detail is keeping the Manolo up at the nights thinking about it.

On the one of the hands, it is so gorgeously unexpected and original.

On the other of the hands, one is fearful because one knows that it will be inexpertly knocked off by empty-headed designers of lesser talent…and the results will be incredibly bad.

As for the Evil One, he is dangerous because he is talented.
